Color is one of the most defining aspects of the web style and careful consideration should be taken to choose colors that you like and feel comfortable with.

Though not as important as a few years ago, you are still safer sticking to this "color safe" pallet.

Things to consider:

Does your company have existing colors that you are happy with?

What colors do you like or feel will convey your companies message?

What will be the dominant or LOCAL color of your site?

Do you prefer to use color harmonies or complimentary colors?

Color Harmonies are any three colors
next to each color on the color wheel.

Complimentary Colors are any two colors
directly across from each other on the color wheel.

Do you prefer warm or cool colors?

Warm Colors - - Cool Colors -

Would you like to use one, two or more colors?

Do you want a white, color, or patterned background?

Dark text on a light background is easier on the eyes.
